TrustID

TrustID is a growing ID verification services company based in Reading. They had become increasingly aware that their website was simply not supporting their growth and needed an updated look and feel to communicate their increased service offering.  After researching the market and issuing a brief, they chose MMD to help rebuild the website.

Their current website was quite slow and they found it was difficult to update the website.  They also wanted to improve the website with a better user experience and clearer messaging and navigation.

In February 2021 mmd set about delivering this.

What we did

At mmd we begin any website development by looking first at how people will find it, what they search on, the reasons they search and what they are hoping to find – these insights influence the content and structure of the website and help us define the user ‘flow’ through the website.

Through workshops and interviews with key stakeholders, mmd identified key customer types, their needs, their journey to becoming a customer and the digital ‘touch points’ that form part of that journey. We looked at what search terms are the most popular and designed and built the website based on those insights.

One of the requirements was to refresh the brand and the look and feel of the website, to make it more ‘grown up’ but retain the simplicity and clean feel of the existing interface.  Working in an iterative process with TrustID, we produced a new design which has a much fresher look and feel and results in a website which is more modern looking and cleaner.  We also produced a set of  brand imagery that can be used through the client’s various marketing channels ensuring a consistent brand experience, regardless of the medium.

Once the website was launched, we continued to optimise and refine it to further improve user engagement and website  performance according to key metrics we’d agreed.

The Results

Even by our high standards we have been particularly pleased with the outcome of our work with TrustID, and more importantly so are they.

We have delivered:

  • A modern, yet friendly and approachable website design
  • An extremely fast, mobile friendly, fully search optimised website which is much easier for TrustID to update
  • A 140% increase in visitors to the website
  • A 231% increase in enquiries and a significant improvement in the quality of enquiries provided by the website
  • Ranking No 1. for ‘ID verification service’ on Google and appearing on the first page of results for 51 other important search terms
